Exterior

  • Predominantly white exterior with a navy blue belly and matching navy blue stripes to the tail and wing tips. This aircraft has been well maintained and always hangared.

Interior

  • Any uncertainty you may have about “why” to pick a Commander is cleared up once you open up the large cabin doors and step inside. There is nothing else as sumptuous and elegant outside of a cabin class twin. The beautiful detailing in lighting, ventilation, armrests front & rear, and integrated seat belts make this aircraft bound to impress the significant people in your life. The light grey leather seats and dark leather panels with cream stitching could rival an S-Class for style and comfort. Too often GA aircraft lack appeal for those sitting in seats other than the front left one. Just as the original brochure said - “Before you buy a high-performance aircraft test fly a Commander”

Maintenance

  • The aircraft has been maintained at RGV at Gloucestershire Airport and at the last maintenance it had 998hrs TT.
  • The Lycoming IO-540-T4B5 has been stripped and rebuilt for the Crankshaft replacement AD when it came due, and that AD is closed off.
  • The McCauley 3-Blade propeller has 37hrs SNEW when it was replaced in October 2018.

Additional Remarks

  • The Commander 115 is a sophisticated choice for someone who wants the cabin comfort and systems redundancy of a twin, in a stylish business-class single.
  • Commander marketed these aircraft very successfully to non-pilot business owners and they even supplied new aircraft with a contract professional pilot. The Channel Islands, well known for its wide-ranging weather conditions became a hub for the Commander type, and it’s easy to see why with dual vacuum pumps, dual alternators and dual drive mags – it’s a superb IFR aircraft.
  • The type is well supported by an active Commander owners club. People who can afford the safety and reliability of an aircraft like this know they have invested their money in a safe place.
  • Late-model aircraft with complete history and generous options selected will always be in demand by the cognoscenti of aviation.
  • The Commander 115 is the last of a long line that traces its roots back to the famed P51 Mustang. The laminar flow wing, cruciform tail, and wide track trailing link undercarriage makes for a superbly comfortable aircraft with handling that appeals to the keen pilot.
  • The Commander 115 is decades newer in design than its rivals, it is certified to the FAR Part 23 safety standard and the safety record for the type speaks for itself.
  • The Commander 115 was introduced in the 2000 model year airframe and is easily identifiable by its 90 USG tanks, redesigned panel, improved leg room and inflatable lumbar support seats.
  • This 2001 model year aircraft has the valuable air conditioning option which assures its future resale value to warmer locations
  • G-HPSL can be easily reverted back to the FAA N-register by our local friendly DAR, and our expert ferry pilot would have this aircraft back to the East Coast of the USA in a few days flying. Vref Book retail value puts this aircraft at $298k USD. The aircraft is for sale for $33k under its book value, and we are asking $265k USD (£219,950 Stg) for this turn-key aircraft. If you are ready to step up to the Mercedes of the single-engine fleet, then call please get in touch. We would love to show it to you in person.
