- History
- Some 10,626 were built in the United States during the 1930s and 1940s during WW2 as primary trainers for the USAAF, US Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force. The 75L3 variant typically features a 220-horsepower Continental W670 radial engine. The Kaydet is a conventional biplane of rugged construction, with a tailwheel and fixed undercarriage and open cockpits in tandem configuration to accommodation the student and instructor.
- G-CIPE was acquired from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. It was disassembled and shipped the UK. It had its 220 HP Continental engine removed and replaced with a more powerful 300 Horse Power Lycoming R-680 E3B radial engine.
- G-CIPE is the ultimate Stearman with a brilliant blend of power and performance and presented in showroom condition. A must to have in any collection.
