Highlights

  • This solid and easy-to-handle aircraft is easy to taxi, has a great field of view, and the large windows extending to the roof, along with a generously-sized windscreen, make fantastic forward visibility.

Exterior

  • Subtle tint that was added as part of the refurbishment.

Interior

  • Leather-covered yoke is hand-stitched, and the seats have been tastefully re-upholstered in a dark grey leather.
  • Thoughtfully designed with small steps fitted on either side of the fuselage and large gull-wing doors, this aircraft is incredibly easy to access when compared to the likes of Piper’s low-wing aircraft with their single-door entry. Also, the baggage bay can hold up to 45kg of weight and is conveniently accessible during flight.

Maintenance

  • Engine overhaul by Jade Air PLC Norvic in 2001
  • Just 28hrs on the McCauley prop since it was overhauled in October 2022 by Deltair
  • Most recent annual was completed in October 2022

Additional Remarks

  • Designing a sleek, carefully thought-out, and reliable aircraft is no hard task for the French, and it is hard to believe that you are looking at a 40-year-old airframe when inspecting this 1983 Socata TB10. From the tip of its spinner to its infamous swept wing, this aircraft oozes sleek sophistication.
  • The Tobago is known for its space and gives the impression that it is a much larger aircraft than it is. This illusion is magnified by the spacious panel, which is made up of three padded sections. The pilot has the primary flight instruments in their direct line of vision, while the co-pilot has their own set of flight instruments on the right side along with the power gauges. The central column is fitted with a stack of avionics.
  • The aircraft is based at Wycombe Airpark and is available for viewings and demo flights.
