Highlights
- G-SKYT Our (Owned and flown by my wife and I) lovely Sky Arrow is reluctantly up for sale as we have a new aircraft and sadly do not live in the world of owning a fleet of aircraft.
- I've just reduced the price as circumstances have changed slightly and I'm keen to move on.
- I may be biased of course but, all told, I think it is a lot of flying pleasure for the money!
- The Sky Arrow is the factory-built all carbon fibre version (some had aluminium wings), in my humble and completely unbiased opinion it feels reassuringly solidly constructed and more like a decent car inside than most GA aircraft.
- It has a quite unrivalled view, the huge canopy and low sills/ armrests give an incredible all-round view – you have to crane your neck to see the wing behind you.
- The back seat is elevated so the view in the back is also excellent. Both seats have proper 5-point belts and dual-control side stick with electric trim on the right and throttle on the left.
- It has adjustable rudder pedals and, despite the fighter jet like cockpit, it is a very comfortable, relaxed and stable machine to fly. A proper gentleman's flying carriage!
- Cruise is officially 101Kts, but to be honest 90 kts seems more relaxed, there is around 250Kg of useful load and a surprising amount of luggage space behind the rear seat. 68 litres of UL91/Mogas gives you around 4.5 Hours range.
- The (lit) panel includes 8.33 and Mode S of course. There is a jack to allow you to listen to the Archers on the intercom.
- It is always hangared (at Defford / Croft Farm, North of Cheltenham and there is the possibility of continuing with the hangarage there) with covers, and of course carbon fibre doesn’t rot….
- I realise this is quite a rare beast so give me a call with questions – I don’t bite !
Maintenance
- It has just completed a new annual
- 828 hrs on the airframe
- 300 hrs on the Rotax 912 (replaced on years due to the limitations at the time)
